What is Your NEXT Language to Study?

One language sets you in a corridor for life.

Two languages open every door along the way.

‒Frank Smith

Have you started thinking about studying more foreign languages? Have you chosen one? What factors do you take into consideration when making your choice? Of course, all learners are different, they have individual preferences and specific reasons for studying this or that language.  Are some languages more difficult than other? What does it depend on? What are the hardest and the easiest languages? If you want to know more on this topic, have a look at the infographic HERE

  1. Thank you for this awesome post! This topic is extraordinarily actual for me!
As I'm going to learn Chinese in the near future, it was useful for me to find out that Chinese is classified as one of the hardest languages to learn though I'd been aware of this fact before.
The infographics are mightly impressive as it's possible to get a lot of necessary information from them. I really approve of the approach that the authors give us approximate time of mastering a language. This kills all blind dreams but it's effective to possess this information, isn't it? Moreover, it's emphasized that everything depends on a learner and his features (devoted time, a motivation, etc.) The new thing that I got from this source is that Russian is in group "Medium" though I used to think that it's more likely to be identified to Hard.
As a final note, I'd like to highlight that though Chinese is a totally different language from both Russian and English, I long and hope to learn it with all its tones and characters!!!
