One of the most important events in the world of sport is about to start!
I'm sure it's impossible to remain indifferent to it.
Are you going to watch the Opening Ceremony?
Do you want to follow any particular sport? If yes, what sport is it? And can you explain your preference?
Is it better to watch the competitions on TV or to be present at the stadium?

Stayed late last night watching Opening Ceremony. It was spectacular! Especially loved the first part full of history glimpses. Wasn't that thrilling? My intention is to watch as many competitions as possible. Have watched some swimming, beach volleyball and basketball so far. Enjoy the atmosphere of amazing enthusiasm and great expectations.
ReplyDeleteThanks for adding the post about the Olympics!! My perception of this glorious event absolutely coincides with yours! I just wish I could see it with my own eyes...Doubtless, it's overwhelming to watch competitions on TV but, I bet, it's totally jaw-dropping to witness everything! Unlike you, I just watched the opening ceremony this morning and it was fantastic! I want to highlight the final picture when the public was able to see 202 (as far as I remember) petals put together so that they created a beautiful burning flower! Now Russia must worry about surpassing this performance or, at least, not loosing in comparison to the British preparation.
ReplyDeleteWell, I have a longing to watch different competitions, Firstly, it's volleyball as I'm a passionate fan of this kind of sports. BTW, our female team won the host team today, it's 3:0!!!
But I'd also like to watch some gymnastics, swimming competitions and everything what I tune in to!
OK, I want to appeal to everyone to stay in touch with the Olympics and support and cheer our team up! It's so patriotic and noble, isn't it?
P.S. I remember you told us that you'd been at the Olymics. What was it like?
Thank you, Karina, for your comments and willingness to support our team! Hope you'll have a chance to watch the competitions while on holidays.
ReplyDeleteI can't help admiring all athletes taking part in the Olympics. Surprisingly, I start getting fascinated by some kinds of sport didn't use to watch before (e.g. archery):-)
